I have come across several external videos which have been taken by various other teams in the Formula 24 Championships and posted on YouTube. So I thought I would set up a page to point to these so we can all see them.

To view the videos I have added a menu item on the main web page (Video Clips). If you cannot see this when you go into the site you may need to refresh the page (you may be looking at a cached versions otherwise and the menu item will not be there).

Of course I cannot guarantee the quality of these videos as we did not take them.

Perhaps at future events we can take some of our own.

Jeff

P.S. Just noticed I got one of the captions wrong on the video window (Goodwood instead of Rockingham) – I will rectify this when I next update the site.

The website is beginning to come together now.

I have installed a Calendar of events which is available for public viewing. To get things placed on the Calendar you will need to inform me and I will get them entered. eventually we will delegate an Event manager for this and also allow registered users the ability to update the Calendar.

The Gallery is also shaping up. I have added most of the pictures I have of various events attended, however, I am sure there are many more out there. The Gallery has been designed with specific albums to cover all the aspects of the team, from building, modifications, shows and race days etc. Make sure you take lots of pictures at the events for the Gallery. This is available for public viewing so all pictures will be reviewed by the Team Principal before being added.

On the Technical Information pages a lot of useful information will be available for you. Keep visiting this page to ensure you are up-to-date with things.

Old race reports from the previous site are required for the new site. If anyone has a copy of these please bring them on Tuesdays so I can have a copy.

To be an author on the Blog and Forum you must register and have your registration approved before being able to post anything. Again see me on Tuesdays or simply use the registration facilities.

Thanks. Jeff

Thought I’d update those interested with progress on the car:
Motors: the turnigy motors are not reworkable to open windings so we are rewinding 3 completely to make a spindle. This is not practical for the real car (needs 20 spindles)
gearbox: Gearbox cases being profiled now by Macc Tech waterjet cutters. They will be sent off for machining when I get them.
Suspension:
Temporary brackets machined at school last week. Got a batch of rockers, rocker bearing supports and other brackets laser cut at Congleton Laser. Superb job, no finishing required on most parts.
Design: Chassis and suspension largely finished. Body design ongoing – I’ve just got the OpenFoam CFD software going on my home PC & the body design is an iterative process. I hope the nosecone can be made by the car club….
