Do the axles fit? Time to find out.

With the chassis assembly moving forwards swiftly, the front and rear axles are being fitted along with the aluminium wings. This is crucial part of the build and requires concentration. It's crunch time to see if our measurements and cutting are accurate enough.

Once we were confident that the wings would fit OK it was time to put the chassis together.  We had to remove the pattern and clean up the aluminium before applying structural epoxy adhesive to the axles to stick to the aluminium wings. We also applied glass bubbles mixed with epoxy resin to fill any gaps in the chassis structure. This ensures that it will keep it all rigid.

Once we had stuck everyting together it was time to clamp it all together and walk away until tomorrow.
