20th September 2022
We are back from Aintree and straight back to work! With finals quickly approaching we are gearing up for the biggest event of the season.
We began our night with a race debrief of highlights, low-lights and things to improve on. We find this helps bring the team together to reflect on races and constantly learn from them to be the best we can be. It also gives us chance to mention the 18 times we sang happy birthday to Team Captain Cate! We think we win the category for most embarrassing team.
Next we move onto everyone's favourite part of the night. Super Graph Tuesday! The part of the night to assess the data we pulled out of the cars to see what we can fix and where problems occurred.
Now we split into smaller teams and get cracking on the jobs for the night. Erin, Sam and Liberty worked on preparing new and improved display boards for our schools open evening on Thursday. We hope to see many new faces and get them interested in what we do. Maybe we will find some new aspiring team members!?
We also began repair work on Dylan and Basil. This important check up meant we were performing heart surgery on Dylan's electrics and replacing Basil's motor to make sure they are the best health they can be for finals. We are prepared to give it our all.
That left us with the job of returning the cars to the trailer newly polished and cleaned (and hopefully fully fixed). And us to all go home for a nights rest ready for the rest of the week ahead.
