Tonight was a night of preparation.
The team were preparing for the schools christmas fayre, which is an event that we use as an opportunity for fundraising. Fundraising is so important for the team as we rely on it for a large sum of our resources. That is why it is so important that we have a successful fundraising session at the christmas fayre. We are planning to sell homemade novelty ornaments such as 'winedeers', 'pengwines', and 'winephants'. Aditionally, the team has made 2D baubles (note that all of our items are made from wood). We were organizing all of the items this evening.
Another element of preparation regarding upcoming races is adding to the teams portfolio. Violet has been working hard to add pages informing the judges about our garage sessions and our blog. These are important things which will hopefully contribute to wining more portfolio awards in future!
To add to the theme of preparation, tonight, members have been contributing to the building of the new car. This includes Creating moulds and applying wax to surfaces. Progress on the car is extremely important to us at the minute as we are hoping to win internationals next year!
Amelie has been keeping our Blog up to date by finalising our drafts.
Taking us all by surprise, Nigel had bought in an extremely old type writer which was fascinating to see in person as not many team members had seen one before. He bought it in order to fix it which was a learning experience for the team.
