Another very busy night in the tech suite as we work our way through the jobs for tonight ready for the upcoming season!
If you remember from our previous blog, Georgia and Lily were coming up with some ideas for our Christmas fundraising and tonight they kick started the session presenting their ideas to the team ....which is pretty impressive considering they have only been in the team for 3 weeks!
After their presentation to the team, Georgia and Lily continued to work on fundraising ideas for the upcoming Christmas season... as it's never too early!
Tonight a kit car arrived from Sir Thomas Boughey. Huge thank you to them (and Mr B) for donating the car to us. After safely navigating the car from Mr B's roof to the tech suite a small number of the team were hands on , checking it over and starting to dismantle the car. Preparing it ready for a new set of newbies to have a go at putting it back together again.
Another night with the neb mobile. First, Erin and Phoebe sanded it down before giving it a nice clean up with a bit of fresh paint.
Following from the neb-mobile, another team were working on Basil. Having removed the wheels first, they completed another round of sanding. We are hoping to get a new layer of paint on him soon - making him look like brand new for next season.
Finally, Katy was writing a thank you letter to our local Co-Op store. Over this last year, we had very fortunately been accepted as a local Co-Op cause. Over half term, Becksy received an email with our final total. Needless to say, we were blown away with the generosity of Co-Op. This funding will go along way in helping us purchase materials for the new car, therefore we wanted to write a note to the store, and it's members to express our gratitude.
It was all hustle and bustle in tonight's tech suite with everyone working on their individual projects . Before long, it was time to put the cars to bed ready for the evening!
