28th January 2020
Another busy Tuesday night in the Tech Suite and it's all hands on deck to show the new visitors around.
This week we would like to say praise to one of our team mates. Bethan has been working incredibly hard to develop our new battery boxes. She's been working independently to design & improve our boxes before expertly leading other team members by showing (& teaching them) what she's been upto. Bethan has been working tirelessly on this project for a number of weeks and she's been doing a fabulous job. Thanks Bethan!!
Another night means another time to practice our pit times! Many of our team members have been working hard to improve tonight and show some special visitors what we work on during the off season.
On that note we would like to thank Rob and Elliot from NCME for coming down tonight to see what we've been up too. It's been great to have you and talk to you about what we do!
Exciting times as our team captains review applications for new team mates. We can't wait to have some new faces around! (Not that we don't like the old ones!!)
Over the past few weeks we have been taking the existing paint lacquer off Basil's paint work in order to repaint him for next season. This week it was Eleanor and Lara's turn to be put to work. Loving the one pink glove girls!
Meg and Alice have spent their evening looking into options for both sponsorship and fundraising. They've been working hard to edit sponsorship letters and fill out funding application forms!
Finally, We come to Richard, helping some of the team (...who are also members of SIGMA!) work on the designs for the new car using Openfoam. They are going to be pulling results off and improving the car to continue the design process. After last week it needs some work as we discovered some of our drivers were too tall to fit in the car! (...looking at you Lucy and Broad shouldered Cerys!!)
Tune in next week to see what sheinanagans we get up to! Maybe we will have more pink gloves so Eleanor and Lara don't get cold!
